We have survived Christmas!! We all had a great Christmas. Becky and I celebrated Christmas with out grands and with mother. Hope and her family went to Virginia and skied and had a great time. Even though the Christmas season was sad and difficult, they still could celebrate the birth of Christ and his promise that there is eternal life and they will see Abigail in Heaven. We miss her greatly. She was a delightful young lady and a Christian example for all. David, Hope, Mark, and Wade you all are in our prayers daily.
In the shop, our ceiling is being lowered. Hurray!!!! We can now stay warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer. Also, once this is finished, we will rearrange--again. We love to rearrange!!
Once we have our arrangement to our satisfaction, we will begin on our Spring fashions. They are in our heads and some are on paper. Once we start sewing, new items will be made and ready for purchase. Remember to come see us around February 1 to see the new fashions.
Silly Whispers looks forward to 2010. 2009 was a very good year and our customers are the best. Thanks for making 2009 a good year.

I am so excited that Linda changed the background on our blog--Silly Whispers! I thought it was too dark! I like bright colors--I guess you can tell that in what I sew! We are looking forward to 2010. We are in the process of designing the new spring line! We have some beautiful fabric and eye catching designs! I just know everyone is going to "love" them. We have new spring smocking dresses and jonjons that will be in the store in late February! We can't wait!!!
I hope everyone is having a great pre-New Years!! We have two more days and then it will be 2010! It is exciting to think about a new year and what is in our future. We just give thanks to God for all that He has done for us in 2009 and for what He has planned for us in 2010!!

Christmas Fun
Today is Wednesday before Christmas day, Friday. Hailey and her family are home from Birmingham. Ava and I have made cookies and enjoyed talking about our presents.
The shop is closed for the holidays as of today. However, there will be some I will have to open for because they have orders to pick up.
We THANK all our patrons so very much for their encouragement and business during 2009. It has been a very nice year for us. Becky and I never worry about the profit like we should. We are always wanting to add something new and different. We seem to always put our profit back into the business instead of paying ourselves. Unusual, yes, but oh, so much fun. We love market time.
We also would like to thank our ladies that help us. Joan has been with us from the beginning and we could not do without her. She is the one that pulls us out of trouble when we hit a snag when sewing. We love you, Joan. We also have Miss Ruth and Miss Hazel. Miss Ruth has been our friend in business for many, many years. She is a wonderful seamstress and quilter. You are also a wonderful Christian lady and prayer partner. Thank you Miss Ruth. We love you. Miss Hazel is new to us, but now seems to be an "ole" friend. Miss Hazel thank you for all you do for us. We thank you for the wonderful cakes also. We love you. Pam is our new employee at the shop. Christmas would have been a very trying time without Pam. We love you Pam.
We look forward to 2010. We have new ideas for clothing and many "dreams"!! Come see us in the new year and see our special things.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!!

Sunday
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND TO OUR PAM FOR A WONDERFUL PARADE. All your hard work and "worry about the rain" was well worth the end results. You did awesome. We appreciate your all so very much.
Today is Sunday. Everyone went to church. I have been lazy this afternoon. I must put up my Christmas Tree.
Beginning tomorrow we will have 20% to 50% off everything in the store. We are so excited. We will still be monogramming, however monogramming is not on sale. I plan to take some pictures tomorrow of some of the discounted things.
All Christmas is 50% off. This includes all the little Christmas outfits we have on hand. We have stopped orders. We cannot begin a project now and have it ready by Christmas. We aren't taking any more items to monogram either that have to be done for Christmas.
We will close next week for Christmas. As usual, Becky, Pam and I still have to make some of our things for Christmas. That will be working on our projects for Christmas next week.
We will also be closed for the month of January. The building will be renovated. This should make it cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. As many of you know heating and cooling have been a problem. We are very excited about this. We are also rearranging again. This time our work area will be moved. We have laughed because we are moving our area next to the kitchen. We're all about convenience. We won't have to walk as far to get refreshments!!!
Don't forget SALE BEGINS MONDAY!!!

Sloppy Sunday
I tried to go to Nashville this weekend. It was not to be. I turned around about Boonveille. Got back to the hospital, helped Becky get mother checked out and on to the house. There are some important chances that must be made. Hopefully mother will help us.
We have only a few more days till Christmas. Orders have been stopped. However, we still have many, many items for Christmas. Come in and browse. We also gift wrap.

Football

Poor Teebow!!!! But way to go Tide. You have probably guessed, I didn't have a favorite in this game. I am a Mississippi State grad as well as a fan. "ugh"
However, I love football. We have all kinds of football material. The fleece is green (dark) with footballs all on it. We also have a yellowish gold fabric with pendants of different colors. On the pendants are "Go Team", "Yell", etc. There is also a piece with footballs, baseballs, basketballs, etc. on the fabric. We love doing appliques with these fabrics as well as embroidering some sports figures or items on shirts, tanks, tee-shirts, etc.
I am also including a picture of the "Ole Fire House" where our shop is located. Mantee is very small. Anyone can find us in Mantee.
